Perhaps I’m adopting my heritage, as my father was an amateur photographer. Photography allows me to take a vision and turn it into a visualization lesson. It brings a moment forward but also allows me to reproduce the detail and mood of the scene when it was taken. Also it gives me the opportunity to look at these same moments through other’s eyes, expanding vision beyond my own.
I’m drawn to high contrast and strong lines and detailed filled spaces, of landscapes, architecture, and people. Bringing these altogether sometimes in one photo is particularly alluring. As well, I may composite these elements from different photos. My photography is a work in progress and changes as I bring others to it. That’s what makes it so inspiring and exciting.
Enjoy!
